Plan maintenance
Many of our home builder clients ask us to maintain or modify their plans from time to time. These can be anything from adding options, to design new elevations or implementing new custom features.
Structural engineering
We can provide engineering for you design. Roof , ceiling, beam, and foundation design.
We work in tandem with several engineers who provide expertise and design while J.D. McKay Home Design provide the drafting for the engineering.
Home plan modifications
We understand that it is difficult to find designs or drawings that will meet your needs. That is why J.D. McKay Home Design is glad to offer plan modification services. We will work with you to design the home modifications you would like to see and adjust the design accordingly.
Typical modifications:
changing two car to a three car
adding or removing square footage
redesign kitchens and bathrooms
changing roof and exterior design
or most any other modification you may desire!
Personalized construction cost service
This service is designed to assist you or your builder in determining the average costs of all elements that go into building your new home.
Your personalized report will contain:
A line by line list of items, materials and sub contract labor, with quantities, soft and hard construction costs.
You also can use the service in obtain a loan from a local bank for the construction costs breakdown.
The detailed construction cost breakdown is for the Greater Cincinnati/Dayton area. If you are outside that area, the cost breakdown will be based on averages used throughout the country. These costs would need to be updated for specifics with your local area.
3d designs
The technology J.D. McKay Home Design maintains gives us the capability of making accurate 3-d drawings which allows our clients to design a home or addition the exceeds their expectations. No more wondering what the house will look like based on black and white two dimensional elevations or floor plans. This service allows the client to avoid comparing stone or brick samples, paint swatches, or siding rings by being able to see the structure, colors and materials at the click of a mouse.
Permit assistance
 Obtaining your permits in a timely error free manner is very important to J.D. McKay Home Design. Efficiency in this stage of the project is crucial to getting your project off and running quickly, which saves you time and money. We cannot stress enough the value of this service when it comes to managing your project. J.D.
